The Galvin Foundation was created in memory of the late Wiliam (Bill) Galvin OAM, who passed away in 2018 after a life dedicated to the travel, tourism and hospitality industry of Australia.
It will come as no surprise to those who knew Bill that his generosity of spirit lives on today, through a range of bequests he made (all written in his trademark bold capital letters), to be administered through the Galvin Foundation.
In 2019, the Foundation will award its first prize, giving the opportunity, through the provision of financial support, to Australian Tourism and Hospitality TAFE students to further their training in Australia and overseas.
The Foundation aims to continue to grow and support education and training opportunities in a range of fields well into the future.
